Review
“This painting takes me back 18 years, when I moved to France. I felt exactly like this horse floating, not sure where I would land, in a world that felt completely new and surreal… just like the buildings in the painting, everything around me seemed familiar but twisted, different. I didn’t know what to expect, but I had no choice but to keep going.
It’s funny how art can capture that feeling of being lost and finding yourself at the same time. This horse, so free yet out of place, is exactly how I felt back then. 👏”

I’m curious about the patterns of flowers on the horse, so interesting! It feels to me as if the horse represents fear, and the flowers are hope, courage, and possible growth that might exist amidst the body of fear that we can become. This painting, for me, is “The Unknown,” the fear we embody, and the courage we try to carry & protect. Stunning work as always.
