Blue Soul – Solo Exhibition by Sergiu Ciochină
The painter Sergiu Ciochină invites you, from Thursday, May 1st to Monday, May 12th, 2025, to his first solo exhibition in Paris –
Blue Soul, the debut show of the Moldovan-born artist now based in France. The exhibition brings together over 30 paintings alongside drawings, offering a broad perspective on his visual language.
The exhibition will feature works from the blue series, as well as other pieces created over the past five years, which inspired the concept of this event – the artist’s first solo exhibition following his participation in prestigious art events and group shows such as the Salon d’Automne, the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, and landscape exhibitions in Norway, the United Kingdom, Spain, South Korea, Moldova, and Italy.
Blue Soul
reflects the ebb and flow of our emotions, their origins, much like the creation of a world built through layers, structures, and expressive gestures. It blurs the boundaries between figuration and abstraction. The human bodies, though often solitary, emanate a subtle energy, reminding us that true self-understanding comes not from rejecting our emotions, but from embracing them. To live fully, we must be willing to sit with both joy and sorrow, allowing them to coexist within us and recognizing the beauty in the full spectrum of our feelings.
On the occasion of the opening, which will take place on May 1st at 5:35 PM at 4 Pl. de Thorigny, 75003 Paris, France, the artist’s book will also be launched, offering a chance to explore all the works through a special selection and a series of critical and journalistic texts, published over the years or commissioned specifically for this event.
