The painter Sergiu Ciochina invites you from Thursday, May 1st to Monday, May 12th, 2025 to his first solo exhibition in Paris, Blue Soul. This marks the debut of the Moldovan-born artist now based in France.

The exhibition brings together over 30 paintings and a selection of drawings, offering a broad perspective on his visual language.

It includes works from the blue series as well as other pieces created over the past five years. These works inspired the concept behind the show, which comes after the artist's participation in major art events and group exhibitions such as the Salon d’Automne, the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, and landscape exhibitions in Norway, the United Kingdom, Spain, South Korea, Moldova, and Italy.

Blue Soul explores the rhythm of emotions and their origins. It’s like building a world through layers, structures, and expressive gestures. The works blur the line between figuration and abstraction.

The human figures, often solitary, radiate a quiet energy. They remind us that true self-awareness comes not from suppressing our emotions, but from accepting them. Living fully means making space for both joy and sorrow — allowing them to exist together and finding beauty in the full range of what we feel.

The opening will take place on May 1st at 5:35 PM, at 4 Pl. de Thorigny, 75003 Paris, France. On this occasion, the artist's book will also be launched, offering a deeper look into the works through a curated selection and a series of critical and journalistic texts — some written over the years, others commissioned especially for this event.
